#IrishIdols: the facts
DANGER! This trip is nothing for the faint hearted. You need to be tough to face the Irish weather, in November. Could be hailing, raining, loads of wind but also sunshine.. Why would you want to go through all this??
How about amazing waves? Empty line-ups? Ohh, and did we mention amazing waves and empty line-ups? Put loads of craic and a great time on top of it and voila, welcome to IRISH IDOLS!
We train within a group of max 6 surfers but every surfer will be coached individually. With it´s own goals, tasks and challenges. Our local guide the Lee-gend makes sure that we surf at empty line-ups, giving us the chance to take as many waves as possible.
If you feel like you can brave mother nature than this 7 days surfholiday is something for you! On this care-free trip all you need to do is surf and relax! Everything else is organized for you. Accommodation in a cranky Irish house, transport to the homebase and all the surfspots, daily surfcoaching (in & outside the water), breakfast & dinner prepared, surfequipment, safety introductions to the spots and sooo much more!!
Surf-Holiday: what does that mean
IRISH IDOLS will be run as a Surf-Holiday trip. What does that mean? It includes daily surfcoaching sessions, surf theory clases and enough freetime to relax or go exloring. The idea of the Surf-Holiday trips is to surf and improve but also to recharge your batteries. However, if the waves are epic, and our muscles allow, we might go for a sneaky freesurf on some of the days but that´s optional.
7 days of intensive surfcoaching will push your surfing level through the roof. At the beginning of the trip we set individual goals for each student and work concentrated on realizing them. If you want to find out more about how we coach, check our Surfcoaching section.
The day to day
We will start the day with a nutritious power breakfast. This will get us into gear to brave Ireland´s extreme weather conditions. If we don´t surf straight after breakfast we either learn something in a surftheory session, explore or relax until it´s time to surf. There is soo much to do and see around us, we promise you won´t be bored. We finish the day with a tasty & hearty meal, followed by a sneaky whiskey to settle down 😉 Next day – do it all over again!
The idea of our surfcoaching trips is to really improve your surfing. Daily surfcoaching, backed up with ocean knowlede, surf theory and video analysis will make sure that you advance with your surfing. Even though we surf as a group surf headcoach Angie will teach every surfer individually: assesssment of level of surfing, setting goals what to achieve during the trip, explaining drills and exercises, coaching in and outside the water, demonstrating and explaining.
Your coach & surfguide

Once more we are super lucky to count on the legendary Good Old Lee from Narosa Surfschool as our local surfguide. Not only an amazing surfer & experienced surfcoach but also real fun to hang out with, Lee will look after the NOMB Surfcrew, making sure we are at the right spot at the right time.
Fineprint: sustainable surftravel
Only a word to many people, for us at NOMB Surf an important issue. On all our trips we try to act as sustainable as possible. We recycle actively, work only with partners who share our believes and try to leave a positive footprint in the hosting community. Not only cultural but also economically. That´s why we always work with a local surfschool at our trip destinations. We understand that getting to Ireland takes a long time if you don´t fly but encourage you to do so. In addition we commit to set off the carbon footprint caused by our participating surfers, by supporting an environmental programm. Beachcleanings and environmental respect are common on our trips and we are happy if you want to join us in being the change you want to see.
